First concert back – Ripe at Levitate Backyard 6.1.2021
Exactly 14.5 months later, I’m back seeing live music. It was the perfect way to jump back in – a beautiful south shore evening, a chill, but enthusiastic crowd exercising their joy in the wild unknown, and Berklee’s own – Ripe. Coincidentally (or maybe not), Ripe at the House of Blues was the last show I saw prior to pandemic world.
It was night two out of three sold-out shows at the unique gem of a venue, known as the Levitate Backyard (an extension of the Levitate Music Fest). Prior to the show, I had the pleasure of catching up with frontman Robbie Wulfsohn and drummer Sampson Hellerman to discuss the thrill of stepping back on stage, what’s on tap for the summer and much more.
